Russia's largest turkey meat producer plans to open a new line of business which will focus on lamb meat production in the Stavropol region after it reached an investment agreement with the regional authorities.

Russian turkey meat producer to expand business into lamb

The goal of the project is to create a production for fattening and slaughtering sheep with a capacity of up to 15 thousand tons in slaughter weight per year.

The company expects to implement the project in a year and a half.
The project is being implemented within the framework of an investment agreement between the group of companies “Damate” and the Government of the Stavropol Territory.

The investment in the project will amount to 2 billion rubles. These are own funds of the company and borrowed funds of JSC “Rosselkhozbank”.
