Grupo Vall Companys closes the purchase of Embutidos Rodríguez

The Group had 10% of the shares of Embutidos Rodríguez since 2017, and in 2022 it had up to 40% of the shareholding.
The relationship between the two companies goes back a long way, since Agrocesa (livestock integration company of the agri-food group based in Valladolid) was already the main supplier of pork for Embutidos Rodríguez since before 2017, a company dedicated to slaughtering, cutting and preparing products from the pig sector.

The agri-food group has always positively valued the history of Embutidos Rodríguez since 1910, the family tradition and its ability to generate jobs and root the population in León. It currently has a turnover of 220 million euros and generates a total of 600 direct jobs at its facilities in Soto de la Vega, in the province of León.

For years, the Iberian pig team of the Vall Companys Group has been operating in the facilities of the Embutidos Rodríguez factory. Specifically, dedicating itself to the slaughtering, cutting and distribution of its brand of fresh and clean Iberian ham "Finura de Ibérico". Through this operation, the Iberian pig project of the agri-food group consolidates and strengthens its short and medium-term growth prospects on the national and international markets.
