Opus Group will build Cargill’s new headquarters

Opus Group has announced it has started construction of a 190,000-square-foot office headquarters for Cargill?s North America protein business in Wichita, Kan.

The building will feature an immersive technology center, presentation kitchen, sensory center kitchen and testing booths, a third-floor balcony and an employee café. The building will include a 800-car parking garage for employee use during the day and the public for events in Old Town and the nearby area in the evening, according to a press release.

Amid a larger downtown revitalization, Cargill’s new headquarters replaces an older building.

Opus Group previously built the company’s 920,000-square-foot, three-building, Class A corporate campus in Minnesota.
Cargill Protein is an industry leader that produces, distributes and markets beef, turkey, chicken and egg products to retail, foodservice, and food ingredient companies throughout North America, and exports meat and by-products around the world.
