The International Animal Protein Show (SIAVS 2026) concluded with hundreds of millions of dollars projected in export deals for animal proteins from Brazilian poultry and swine farming, reports the Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA).
The initiative, promoted in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil) during SIAVS – which enabled a series of initiatives during the event – resulted in US$ 41.494 million in business deals in just the three days of the event.
For the next 12 months, the 33 companies participating in the pavilion set up by ABPA and ApexBrasil at SIAVS project another US$312.15 million in exports, based on contacts with more than 2,000 importers from dozens of countries.
The results are exclusively from the agribusinesses participating in the more than 700 square meter pavilion set up in the middle of SIAVS and do not include the results of other companies and cooperatives with their own stands at the event.
During the SIAVS program, ABPA and ApexBrasil organized several initiatives to foster business and strengthen Brazil’s international image. One of these was the Image Project, which facilitated the visit of dozens of foreign journalists to Brazil. The initiative involved press conferences, participation in lectures, and visits to the production facilities of companies in the sector. With a similar objective, the Opinion Leaders Project brought leaders and personalities from strategic markets for Brazilian animal protein to SIAVS.
Furthermore, the event also facilitated the participation of importers from markets that are destinations for poultry, pork, and duck meat, eggs, and poultry genetics, to conduct business with Brazilian agribusiness producers and exporters, within the framework of SIAVS.
One of the highlights of the event was the tasting of dishes made with chicken, pork, duck, and eggs, all Made in Brazil, in the gastronomic area set up in the middle of the agro-industry pavilion, under the direction of chef Marcelo Bortolon.
“The results demonstrate the strength of SIAVS as a business and international relationship platform. The presence of buyers from 30 countries allowed Brazilian agribusinesses to showcase their supply capacity, strengthen trade relations, and open new opportunities in traditional markets as well as in destinations with great growth potential,” assesses the president of ABPA, Ricardo Santin.
