Brazilian pork exports reached 131,500 tons in July, a volume 3.7% higher than that recorded in the same month of 2025, when 126,800 tons were shipped, according to the Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA).
Revenue reached US$298.3 million, a 5.6% decrease year-over-year, compared to US$316.1 million in July 2025.
In the period from January to July, shipments totaled 925,600 tons, a 9.1% increase compared to the 848,800 tons recorded in the same period of 2025. Revenue reached US$2.158 billion, a 5.8% increase over the US$2.040 billion recorded in the previous year.
The Philippines was the main destination for Brazilian pork in July, with 20,300 tons, followed by Japan, with 18,400 tons; Chile, with 13,900 tons; China, with 9,100 tons; Argentina, with 6,500 tons; Mexico, with 6,300 tons; Hong Kong, with 6,200 tons; and Uruguay, with 6,200 tons.
“July’s performance confirms the growth trajectory of Brazilian pork shipments. The increase in volume and the diversification of destinations demonstrate the sector’s competitiveness and its ability to expand its presence in traditional and new markets. The growth in sales to Japan, Argentine, Peru, South Africa, and other destinations reinforces the importance of opening and consolidating commercial opportunities for Brazilian pig farming,” assesses the president of ABPA, Ricardo Santin.
In July, Santa Catarina led Brazilian pork exports by state, with 64,600 tons, a 0.2% increase compared to the same month in 2025. Following were Rio Grande do Sul, with 29,400 tons (+0.2%); Paraná, with 21,700 tons (+15.3%); Minas Gerais, with 4,200 tons (+24.4%); and Mato Grosso, with 3,800 tons (+35.7%).
