Seara invests over R$ 4 billion in a platform that boosts efficiency and income for integrated producers

Seara, a JBS subsidiary, has surpassed the milestone of R$ 4 billion invested over 10 years in one of its most strategic initiatives in the field: the SuperAgro platform. Created a decade ago to transform the relationship with integrated producers, the tool has consolidated a new model of agricultural partnership, based on performance, technical and economic data, and the continuous development of people and properties.

Implemented in 2015 with the goal of strengthening ties and raising production standards, the SuperAgro platform is now a strategic pillar of Seara’s agricultural operations. The logic is simple: those who adopt best practices and achieve superior performance are recognized both technically and financially. In cases of high performance, remuneration can be up to 23% higher per animal. Monitoring and support for integrated producers is provided by a robust team, with extension agents serving as the main point of contact between the company and producers.

A fundamental part of this ecosystem is the company’s investment in technology and infrastructure in the field. Financial investments are directed towards the construction, modernization, and expansion of farms, as well as the automation of production processes. Seara’s investment aims at improving the breeding environment, including the installation of exhaust fans and cooling systems, ensuring greater animal comfort and superior zootechnical performance. Biosecurity measures are also an important focus of these investments.

All this effort results not only in greater efficiency, but also in significantly better remuneration for producers. “The producer owns the land, but this close relationship, coupled with robust technical and financial support from Seara, shows how beneficial it is to be an integrated producer with the Company ,” says João Campos, president of Seara.

Currently, more than 9,000 farms are part of SuperAgro. Among them is that of producers Carlos Maia and Cae Maia, father and son respectively. They started with 140,000 chickens per batch and will now house more than 900,000 birds per cycle. Starting in September, they will also begin egg production, with an expectation of 12 million units per year. “The platform showed me that growth comes with discipline, management, and attention to detail. And Seara offers the tools for that ,” says Cae. Since 2017, father and son have stood out for their consistent performance and have been awarded several times in the SuperAgro program, a reflection of the continuous evolution of their operation and the quality of their workforce.

In the swine sector, the change in scale is significant. Producer José Anderson dos Santos went from just over 300 animals almost 30 years ago to more than 33,000 in finishing. And he expects to reach 44,000 with the construction of two more facilities with a capacity of over 10,000 head each, through the Seara integration program. For the fifth consecutive year, he has been recognized for his performance and production growth, receiving monthly and annual awards from SuperAgro. “The technical support and revenue predictability give us the security to invest. That’s what sustains the growth ,” he points out.

Over the years, the platform has incorporated new pillars, such as technical and managerial training, compliance training, initiatives to encourage family succession, and programs like Mulheres SuperAgro (Women SuperAgro), aimed at increasing the presence of women on farms. Symbolic initiatives, such as selecting producers for the company’s annual calendar, help to give visibility to those who excel.

SuperAgro has also established itself as a tool for retaining talent in the field. The emphasis on technical work, coupled with transparent indicators, helps position Seara as a benchmark in its relationships with integrated producers.

This year, the platform reinforced its national visibility with another edition of the SuperAgro Award, which recognized several producers regionally in 18 categories, based on criteria such as animal welfare, management, feed conversion, and quality. The awards ceremony reinforced the technical and meritocratic nature of the initiative. Since its inception, Seara has already paid out more than 12 million reais in prizes alone to the best producers.

“SuperAgro is a long-term model that values those who deliver excellence. It’s not enough to produce more; it’s necessary to produce with quality, with technique, and with a vision for the future ,” emphasizes Campos. “Our commitment is to build a solid, modern, and sustainable chain. The producer is central to this, and SuperAgro allows us to develop this partnership based on technical criteria and mutual respect ,” affirms the president of Seara.
