MBRF brands consolidate leadership in Brazilian homes

Perdigão is the most chosen food brand in the country, followed by Sadia. Qualy also appeared in the ranking, positioned as the most present in homes in the margarine category, according to a Brand Footprint survey.

MBRF, one of the largest global food companies, reinforces its position of absolute leadership in the daily food routine of Brazil. According to the most recent edition of the Brand Footprint survey, conducted by Worldpanel by Numerator, Perdigão, Sadia and Qualy secured prominent positions among the brands most chosen by Brazilian families. Together, they consolidate the company’s presence in 9 out of 10 homes in the country.

The survey confirms Perdigão as the most chosen food brand in Brazil, occupying the third position in the overall ranking for the fifth consecutive year. The brand leads in categories that are very present on consumers’ tables, such as the sausage segment. Sadia, the national leader in ham and frozen pork, advanced in the ranking, establishing its space as the second most chosen food brand in the country. Finally, Qualy also showed an important leap, advancing three positions and reaching fourteenth place in the overall ranking, in addition to consolidating itself as number one in margarines and being part of the daily lives of 8 out of 10 households in the country.

The Brazilian consumer’s choice of the group’s brands is confirmed daily. In the overall consolidated data for the different food categories evaluated, Sadia and Perdigão share the same presence in Brazilian homes, meaning they are present with some type of protein in 9 out of 10 households. Perdigão is present in 7 out of 10 homes when it comes to sausages. In the ham sector, Sadia is part of the meals of 5 out of 10 Brazilian families.

Alignment with new consumer trends is another factor that explains the strength of these brands in Brazilian homes. MBRF combines scientific research and market intelligence to develop and launch new products aligned with current demands, such as the growing search for high-protein items. Clear examples of this movement are the launches of Perdigão Meu Menu, which now offers ready-made meals with 42 grams of protein per serving, the highest in the category, and added collagen, and the new SadiaPRO line, created to deliver practicality in portioning and a higher protein intake in everyday foods. With this strategy, the goal is to balance quality and convenience, delivering innovative formats that adapt to the routines and time of families.

“Our brands accompany Brazilians on their journey at different stages, and seeing Perdigão, Sadia, and Qualy advancing so consistently in the market shows that we are on the right track. We seek to understand the needs of those who consume our products to offer a portfolio that combines flavor, convenience, and quality,” says Luiz Franco, Marketing and Innovation Director at MBRF.

Beyond the physical retail space, MBRF differentiates itself through technological innovation in its contact with consumers. The company was a pioneer in the global food industry by applying generative artificial intelligence to Perdigão’s WhatsApp and is now extending this interactive experience by bringing new digital functionalities to the WhatsApp channels of Sadia and Qualy as well.

“Technology plays a fundamental role in building this close relationship with the consumer. When we apply innovation to our platforms, our main focus is on solving practical issues for the public and bringing more ease to their routine to ensure they have a complete experience, from searching for inspiration and planning their menu to the moment of the meal,” adds Luiz Franco.

The virtual assistants from the three brands help the public with personalized recipe ideas based on photos of ingredients the user has at home, in addition to offering practical tips, making it easier for those looking to manage their time in the kitchen.
