ABIEC’s participation in the event resulted in US$27.2 million in immediate business and an expected further US$128.2 million in the next 12 months.
The participation of the Brazilian Association of Meat Exporting Industries (ABIEC) in the International Animal Protein Show (SIAVS) 2026 concluded with significant results for the companies participating in the Brazilian Beef project, developed in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil). Held between August 4th and 6th at the Anhembi District in São Paulo (SP), the event generated US$ 27.225 million in immediate business and an expectation of another US$ 128.2 million for the next 12 months, totaling more than US$ 155 million in business.
Throughout the three days, the Brazilian beef area brought together companies and partners in a program focused on generating business, promoting Brazilian beef, and building relationships with buyers, importers, authorities, and representatives from different markets.
Participating companies maintained business contacts with buyers and representatives from Argentina, Canada, Chile, China, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Ghana, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Iran, Israel, Japan, South Korea, Kosovo, Kuwait, Malaysia, Morocco, Mexico, Peru, Qatar, Uruguay, and the United States, in addition to Brazil and other contacts from Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.
The opening of the pavilion was attended by the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, André de Paula, as well as representatives from the production sector and leaders of the animal protein chain. During the event, the ABIEC space also hosted international authorities and delegations, strengthening institutional relationships and closer ties with strategic markets for Brazilian beef.
At the ABIEC booth, 19 companies and partners participated in the event: Astra, Barra Mansa, Better Beef, Cooperfrigu, Estrela Alimentos, Frialto, Frigol, Frigosul, Frisa, Iguatemi Beef, Intertrans, IS EG Halal, JBS, MBRF, Minerva, Naturafrig, Plena, RXM and S&P Global.
The event also featured a partnership with the Barbacoa Restaurant, which provided visitors with a gastronomic experience showcasing different cuts of meat, highlighting the quality and versatility of Brazilian beef.
According to ABIEC’s president, Roberto Perosa, in addition to the commercial results, the event reinforced the importance of SIAVS as one of the main international showcases for Brazilian animal protein.
“SIAVS has once again demonstrated Brazil’s ability to bring together, in one place, producers, industry, buyers, authorities, and representatives from different markets. It is a great showcase for Brazilian animal protein and an opportunity to show the world the strength and quality of what we produce. I want to congratulate ABPA and, in particular, President Ricardo Santin, the event’s creator, for the scale that SIAVS has reached and for the contribution it has made to further projecting our sector internationally. For ABIEC, it was a pleasure to be part of another edition and to contribute to this movement,” says Perosa.
Participation in SIAVS is part of the Brazilian Beef action plan, a project developed by ABIEC in partnership with ApexBrasil to promote Brazilian beef abroad, strengthen its image, and expand business opportunities for companies in the sector.
