Brazilian egg exports, considering both fresh and processed products, totaled 2,322 thousand tons in August, a volume 9.1% higher than that recorded in the same month of 2025, when 2,129 thousand tons were shipped, according to the Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA).
Revenue from international sales reached US$4.868 million, a result 15% lower than the US$5.729 million recorded in August 2025.
In the period from January to August, exports reached 19,982 thousand tons, a volume 38.1% lower than the 32,303 thousand tons shipped in the same period last year. Accumulated revenue totaled US$43.903 million, a 41.7% decrease compared to the US$75.295 million recorded in the first eight months of 2025.
Chile was the main destination for Brazilian egg exports in August, with 1,213 thousand tons, a volume 605.1% higher than the 172 tons shipped in the same month of 2025. Following Chile were Vietnam, with 275 tons; Sierra Leone, with 160 tons; Mexico, with 144 tons (-52.6%); and Japan, with 140 tons (-75.8%).
“The August results show a recovery in Brazilian egg shipments in different markets. The performance in Chile and the start of sales to new destinations in the monthly comparison reinforce the sector’s ability to diversify its exports. At the same time, the accumulated total remains below the exceptional result recorded in 2025, when there was an atypical international situation, especially in the North American market,” assesses the president of ABPA, Ricardo Santin.
