JBS opens 46 positions for its 2027 Internship Program, focusing on the development of regional talent

JBS, one of the world’s largest food companies, is opening applications for its 2027 Internship Program. In its second edition, the initiative offers 46 positions across 33 company units, distributed in 10 states and the Federal District, with the goal of developing talent in the regions where it operates. Applications can be submitted until October 18th through the Gupy platform: https://estagiojbs.gupy.io/.

Lasting 12 months, the program combines hands-on experience in JBS operations with a structured cultural, behavioral, and technical development track. The initiative includes practical experiences at the plants, as well as workshops, evaluations, and leadership mentoring. Opportunities are available in five areas: Agriculture, Maintenance, Management Systems, Quality Assurance, and Production, with on-site work of up to six hours per day.

Fernando Meller, Executive Director of Human Resources at JBS Brazil, highlights the program’s focus on the professional development of students. “The key difference is placing the student at the center of operations, so they can understand the business in practice and prepare for the next steps in their careers. We want to develop talent with technical knowledge, process vision, and skills such as communication, adaptability, collaboration, and ownership mentality,” he states.

The program also values the development of talent where JBS has a presence. The job openings cover operations of Friboi, Seara, JBS Terminals, and JBS New Businesses and are distributed across the cities of Brasília (DF); Goiânia (GO); Campo Grande, Dourados, and Sidrolândia (MS); Diamantino (MT); Marabá (PA); Campo Mourão, Jacarezinho, Lapa, and Rolândia (PR); Vilhena (RO); Caxias do Sul, Montenegro, Passo Fundo, and Seberi (RS); Forquilhinha, Ipumirim, Itajaí, Itapiranga, Itaiópolis, Lages, São Miguel do Oeste, and Seara (SC); Amparo, Itapetininga, Jaguariúna, Lins, Nuporanga, and Osasco (SP); and São Gonçalo dos Campos (BA).

Present in more than 225 Brazilian municipalities, JBS invests in talent development within its operations as part of its strategy to develop and strengthen the communities where it operates.

From the first class to a career at JBS.

The first edition of the program, which began in 2026, has already resulted in permanent hires even before the internship is completed, with participants pursuing careers in JBS businesses. This is the case of Andressa Poletto da Rosa, 23, who works as an agricultural technician at the Seara unit in Passo Fundo (RS). A Veterinary Medicine student, expected to graduate this year, she joined the program seeking to steer her career towards poultry farming and was hired in less than six months.

During her internship, Andressa learned about different stages of the production chain, from the farm to the industry, as well as the hatchery. For her, this experience was crucial in taking on her new role. “If it weren’t for the internship, I certainly wouldn’t be in the position I am in now. You can’t do the job without knowing the basics,” she says. The professional also highlights the support she received from managers during her learning period and in her decision to pursue a career with the company.

Bruno Capraro Fantini was also one of those selected in the first class of the program, in the maintenance area of JBS Terminals, at the Port of Itajaí (SC). About five months after joining the company as an intern, he was invited to take on a permanent position in the same sector and today works as a maintenance analyst. “Everything I learned in the internship I carry with me, both technically and in my interactions with people,” he says.

Originally from Nova Trento (SC) and a Mechanical Engineering student, expected to graduate this year, Fantini sees the experience as the beginning of a professional career at the Company. “It’s a great opportunity to have started here. I want to continue my career at JBS and keep growing in the field,” says Capraro.

How to participate

Students enrolled in courses compatible with the five offered areas who are in their final year of study in 2027, with graduation expected in December, are eligible to participate, provided they are available for an in-person internship of up to six hours per day and reside in the region of the chosen unit. Applications are open until October 18th via the Gupy platform: https://estagiojbs.gupy.io/ . The selection process includes a logical reasoning assessment, interviews with Human Resources and unit leaders, as well as a group dynamic exercise. The internship is scheduled to begin on January 18, 2027.
