Brazilian chicken meat exports reached 519,200 tons in July, a volume 29.9% higher than that recorded in the same month of 2025, when 399,600 tons were shipped, according to the Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA).
Revenue reached US$991.2 million, a 34.3% increase year-on-year, compared to US$737.8 million in July 2025.
In the period from January to July, shipments totaled 3.455 million tons, a 15.2% increase compared to the 3 million tons recorded in the same period of 2025. Revenue reached US$ 6.690 billion, a 19.3% increase over the US$ 5.609 billion recorded in the previous year.
China was the main destination for Brazilian exports in July, with 70,500 tons (a market that was closed in July 2025), followed by the United Arab Emirates, with 41,400 tons (-19.9%); Saudi Arabia, with 39,717 tons (+26.2%); Japan, with 38,500 tons (-10.2%); the European Union, with 36,800 tons and South Africa, with 26,100 tons (these last two also closed in July 2025).
“The results for July confirm the responsiveness of the Brazilian production chain and the strength of Brazil’s presence in different markets. It is important to note that the year-on-year comparison is based on the impacts of the occurrence of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza recorded in 2025, a situation that has already been overcome in the country. Even in this context, the growth in shipments demonstrates the recovery and solidity of Brazilian poultry farming, with advances in traditional destinations and in markets that have been expanding their purchases,” assesses the president of ABPA, Ricardo Santin.
In July, Paraná led Brazilian chicken meat exports, with 227,100 tons, a 49.3% increase compared to the same month in 2025. Following were Santa Catarina, with 114,400 tons (+20.0%); Rio Grande do Sul, with 58,000 tons (+25.5%); São Paulo, with 29,200 tons (+9.0%); and Goiás, with 25,800 tons (+13.3%).
