ABPA: Brazilian participation in WOFEX 2025 consolidates its presence in the Philippine market

The action led by the Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA), in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), during the World Food Expo (WOFEX) 2025, held in Manila (Philippines), has ended successfully.

With the participation of 13 Brazilian agribusinesses producing and exporting chicken and pork, the event resulted in over US$15 million in export deals during the event alone. Based on the hundreds of contacts made, the exporting companies project shipments that should exceed US$210 million.

In addition to the business meetings, a broad dissemination campaign for the Brazilian Chicken, Brazilian Pork, Brazilian Egg, Brazilian Chicken and Brazilian Duck brands was promoted at the destination, which stands out as the main importer of Brazilian pork and one of the most important markets for Brazilian chicken meat.

“This was one of Brazil’s most significant participations in Asia in 2025. The numbers reinforce the Philippine market’s appetite for our proteins and consolidate the country as a strategic destination for our export agenda”, says ABPA president Ricardo Santin.

The WOFEX 2025 event also marked the beginning of the “No Borders for Food: Partnerships for Food Security” Road Show, a series of international events promoted by ABPA and ApexBrasil, focused on strengthening trade relations based on technical guidelines from the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH). In Manila, the agenda included meetings with local authorities and a technical-institutional seminar to reinforce quality and biosecurity standards for Brazilian production.

The agro-industries Alibem, Aurora, Bello, BMG, Coasul, Dália, Ecofrigo, Frigoestrela, Rainha da Paz, Rudolph, Jaguafrangos, Avenorte and Somave participated in the action.
