The Brazilian beef industry concluded its participation in SIAL Paris 2026, held between October 17th and 21st in France, with US$530 million in business deals and an expectation of US$1.7 billion in negotiations for the next 12 months.
The participation was organized by the Brazilian Association of Meat Exporting Industries (ABIEC), in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), through the Brazilian Beef project.
During the five days of the fair, Brazilian companies made more than 1,200 business contacts, including at least 470 new ones, expanding business opportunities in different markets.
SIAL Paris 2026 had an estimated audience of 295,000 visitors from around 200 countries and approximately 8,000 exhibitors. In its sixth participation in the event, Brazilian Beef had a 600 m² pavilion where business meetings, product presentations, and promotional activities for Brazilian beef took place.
Among the markets that stood out in the contacts made by Brazilian companies were China, Hong Kong, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Chile, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. Contacts were also recorded with representatives from Singapore, the Philippines, Morocco, Algeria, Lebanon, Russia, and African countries.
According to ABIEC’s president, Roberto Perosa, the results demonstrate the importance of trade promotion in expanding the presence of Brazilian beef abroad. “SIAL Paris allows us to bring together buyers from different regions in one place and showcase the Brazilian industry’s ability to meet the demands of these markets. The deals made and the outlook for the coming months show the importance of maintaining this close relationship with our trading partners,” says Perosa.
