Clarification on EU & China variations:

The significant variations compared to last year reflect the low comparison base of September 2025, a period affected by temporary suspensions following the only recorded case of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza in the history of Brazilian commercial production—a situation that was swiftly resolved at the time.

In the case of the European Union, ABPA President Ricardo Santin explained that the September 2026 results include shipments produced and certified up to September 2nd. The temporary suspension of new certificate issuances took effect on September 3rd without affecting previously certified goods. Early volume shipments by exporters and importers also helped mitigate immediate impacts.

“The September results keep Brazilian exports at a high level, with over 500,000 tons shipped and strong revenue growth. Destination diversification and early shipment management helped preserve this year’s strong performance,” stated Ricardo Santin.
