ABPA & ApexBrasil promote action at Expoalimentaria Peru

The Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA), in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), will promote a broad business promotion campaign during Expoalimentaria Peru, one of the largest food fairs in the Andean region, scheduled for September 23-25 in Lima, Peru.

In the dedicated area for Brazilian animal protein at the event, you will find exporting companies from the sector, such as Bello Alimentos, Netto Alimentos, Friato, MBRF, Somave, Jaguafrangos, and Avenorte.

In an initiative organized through the sector brands Brazilian Chicken, Brazilian Pork, Brazilian Egg, Brazilian Breeders, and Brazilian Duck, in addition to business meetings, the sector’s space will be dedicated to promoting the attributes of Brazilian poultry, pork, and egg protein, such as quality, health, and sustainability. This dissemination will occur through the distribution of promotional materials containing sector information and contact details for exporting companies.

“Expoalimentaria is an important opportunity to further advance our partnership with the Peruvian market, one of the most relevant in South America, with prospects for strengthening partnerships in favor of local food security, complementing local production,” emphasizes the president of ABPA, Ricardo Santin.

With per capita consumption exceeding 50 kilograms of chicken meat annually, Peru is currently one of the most important destinations for Brazilian poultry exports. In total, the country imported 35,400 tons of chicken meat and approximately 255 tons of genetics between January and July. Export revenues to the Andean nation approached US$70 million in the first seven months of this year.
