ULMA Packaging has joined the United Nations Global Compact, the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative, launched in 2000 and with more than 25,000 participating entities in over 160 countries.
With this membership, ULMA Packaging commits to aligning the Corporate Sustainability Strategy with the Global Compact’s universally accepted Ten Principles in the areas of human rights, labour standards, the environment and anti-corruption, as well as to continuing to make progress on initiatives that contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
The participation in this initiative represents a new step forward on the path ULMA Packaging has been following for years to integrate sustainability into their activity, from an environmental, social and governance perspective. This commitment forms part of the cooperative identity and the desire to generate a positive impact on people, the environment and society.

Cooperative identity and social engagement
Social responsibility has been part of ULMA Packaging identity since the origins. As a cooperative, the company was founded with the aim of generating employment, prosperity and development in the society.
In line with this cooperative spirit, a significant percentage of the results of the business activity is returned to society through the Contribution for Cooperative Education and Promotion and Other Public Interest Purposes.
By joining the United Nations Global Compact, ULMA Packaging joins thousands of companies around the world that are committed to promoting responsible business initiatives to contribute to sustainable development, leading the transition towards a more responsible, inclusive and environmentally respectful business model.
