In the first half of the year, Argentine exported 53,196 tons of its beef quota to the United States, valued at US$445 million, according to official Argentine government data.
This represents 53% of the total quota (100,000 tons, comprising the traditional 20,000 tons annually plus an additional 80,000 tons allocated for 2026, distributed in four equal, non-cumulative installments on a  first-come, first-served basis).
According to US Customs, nearly 14,000 tons of the traditional quota had been fulfilled recently, equivalent to almost 70% of the total.
Meanwhile, while the second quarter of the new quota was 100% filled, the third quarter is also progressing at a record pace: in the first ten days of July, just over 5,700 tons have already reached their destination, 28.6% of the quota available for the third quarter, which is just beginning.
