�10 million deal signed by Scandia Food

Scandia Food acquired Agra's, one of the largest meat processors in Romania, for €10 million. Located in Alba county, Agra's processing unit has a capacity of 200 tonnes per month last year had a turnover of over 20 million euros. "In Romania, Scandia Food has a significant market share for canned meat and is a basic supplier for private label production. This acquisition allows us to pursue the development strategy by acquiring players in the food sector to attract new volumes and benefit from the synergies that derive from them, along with boosting the export channel, which has become one of the pillars of the strategy adopted at group level as well as entry into new categories. At the same time, the acquisition supports the company's vision to become a reputed leader in balanced nutrition and an internationally recognized food company," declared says Andrei Ursulescu, General Manager, Scandia Food, according to IndustriaCarnii.ro magazine. So far, Scandia Food has 9 brands in its portfolio and had expanded its operations to the Iberic Peninsula.
