ABIEC brings 28 companies to Anuga 2025
ABIEC will be present in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), manning the booth for the Brazilian Beef project, a showcase for Brazilian beef on the global market.
The biannual event brings together companies, experts, and thought leaders to showcase trends, innovations, and technologies that are shaping the future of the industry. In its last edition, in 2023, Anuga featured 7,900 exhibitors from 118 countries and welcomed more than 140,000 visitors from 200 nations, generating an estimated US$530 million in business.
ABIEC will be present with a booth measuring over 830 square meters (Hall 6.1 – E070A), where it will showcase traditional Brazilian barbecue. Approximately one ton of premium beef cuts, such as picanha, filet mignon, and ancho steak, will be served for importers, buyers, and other visitors to enjoy.
This year, the event will feature 28 member companies, nearly ten more than the previous year, reinforcing the representation of Brazilian beef in the international market. The following companies will be present: Astra, Barra Mansa Alimentos, Best Beef, Better Beef, Boi Bras, Boi Brasil, Comesul, Cooperfrigu, Estrela Alimentos, Frialto, Frigol, Frigon, Frigosul, Frisa, Iguatemi, LKJ Frigorífico, Masterboi, Mercúrio Alimentos, Minerva Foods, Naturafrig, Plena, Prima Foods, Ramax, Rio Maria, RXM, Sudambeef, Supremo, and Zanchetta.
The official opening of the Brazilian Beef booth will take place on October 4th, around 1 p.m., with the presence of local authorities, Brazilian government representatives, and business leaders. The mission will also include the participation of Abiec President Roberto Perosa.
In the previous edition, ABIEC's participation resulted in approximately US$340 million in immediate business and an expectation of US$2.8 billion in the following 12 months.
Europe as a strategic market
The European Union is one of the most traditional and demanding destinations for Brazilian beef. In 2024, the bloc was among the four largest markets for Brazilian beef, behind China, the United States, and the United Arab Emirates, importing approximately 82,300 tons, generating revenue of US$602 million. Between January and August 2025, exports to the European Union totaled 69,000 tons, generating sales of US$551 million.
"The European market is strategic for Brazil, not only because of its volume, but also because of its consumer profile, which values premium cuts and demands high standards of quality and sustainability. Anuga will be an opportunity to showcase the evolution of Brazilian livestock farming and reaffirm the sector's commitment to offering a safe, sustainable, and excellent product", emphasizes Roberto Perosa, president of ABIEC.
