Across Pakistan, some 300,000 cows, 400,000 goats, 1 million sheep and 100,000 camels were sacrificed on the occasion of the Muslim festival, according to PTA.

The PTA analysts expect that about 35% of the total hides will be damaged by the heat or the improper preservation process affecting the producers' revenues.

Eid al-Adha (Id ul-Adha) is a four-day Islamic festival starting on the 10th day of the month of Dhul Hijja (Thou al-Hijja).
