Anuga FoodTec 2018 shows a big expansion of food technology industry

Anuga FoodTec, the leading international supplier fair for the food and beverage industry, reflects the expansion of the sector as the number of exhibitors grew by 13% from last year edition to reach 1,700 companies and the surface expanded to 140,000 square meters (+8%).

"Anuga FoodTec will continue its success story. We are once again forecasting a +13 percent increase in the number of exhibitors compared to the previous event. As such, as the only trade fair worldwide, Anuga FoodTec covers all aspects of the food production and will convince in the coming year even more than ever due to its enormous variety of offers and quality," said Katharina C. Hamma, Chief Operating Officer of Koelnmesse GmbH.
Meat processing industry and other related businesses will have their main spot on the show and there will be novelties to show in terms of innovation and new producers who are ready to enter this competition. Process technology is the most strongly represented section at the trade fair. Almost all of the market leaders and renowned companies from the industry will be exhibiting in Halls 4.2, 6, 9, 10.1 and 10.2. In Halls 7, 8 and in parts of Hall 9, the focus is on the theme "Food Packaging" and thus also on packaging machines, packing materials, automation and control technology. In Hall 5.2, the trade visitors can find all information on food safety and quality management. Here companies that focus on hygiene technology, analysis, laboratory and measuring devices will be presenting their new products. The Boulevard offers the perfect spot for the product segment Food Ingredients.
Companies from more than 50 countries will be presenting their new products in Cologne with first-time appearances from companies representing Egypt, Latvia, New Zealand and Norway. In terms of the number of visitors, guests from over 140 countries are awaited in Cologne from 20 to 23 March 2018.
