Argentine beef exports totaled 69.1 thousand tons in July

In the first seven months of the year, the total amount was 526 thousand tons of carcass equivalent, for a value of 1.572 million dollars, a figure that represents a 6% growth in volume, but with a 2% lower contribution of foreign currency.

Argentine beef exports totaled 69.1 thousand tons in July

According to figures confirmed by the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Argentine beef exports totaled 69.1 thousand tons of carcass equivalent in July, practically unchanged compared to shipments recorded in the last four months. 

According to data reported by the Rosario Livestock Market (ROSGAN), in the accumulated total for the first seven months of the year, excluding bones, the total reported amounts to 526 thousand tons of carcass equivalent, for a value equivalent to 1,572 million dollars which, compared to the same period in 2023, represents a 6% growth in volume, but with a 2% lower contribution of foreign currency. 

Meanwhile, domestic beef consumption fell in July. 

With the final export figures for July known, the balance of production destined for the domestic market would amount to 218,500 tonnes.

In per capita terms, this reflects an average apparent consumption of 47.7 kilos of meat per inhabitant per year, which marks a decrease of 12 % points compared to the average of 54 kilos recorded on the same date in 2023.
