Argentine beef once again arrives in China

Between May 19 and 21, the Argentine Beef Promotion Institute (IPCVA) will once again participate in the Sial China, accompanied by 26 exporting companies.

As usual, the IPCVA will develop a gigantic Argentine Beef Pavilion covering 1,150 m2, with individual service booths for companies and a large restaurant where you can enjoy grilled ribeye and short ribeye steaks.

"In addition to the companies, we will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Commerce", commented IPCVA President Georges Breitschmitt.

"And as always, we will promote the best meat in the world, spreading the word about the quality of our livestock, our genetics, and how our animals are fed on the natural pastures that give our meat its unique characteristics," he added.

For his part, Mario Ravettino, vice president of the IPCVA, stated, "We're going to Sial China with great expectations and enthusiasm. China remains the main destination for Argentine exports, and we must be present at all events that can increase and maintain the volume levels we're sending".

"We also need to work on establishing the offal protocol to ensure we have the complete set of products, and that's why the action being taken in Beijing with the Chinese government is crucial", he added.

In 2024, China accounted for approximately 74% of the total volume of beef exported:

  • Frozen boneless meat: 387,391 tons for USD 1,310,015,560
  • Frozen meat on the bone (includes bones with meat): 183,271 tons for USD 276,792,984
  • Refrigerated boneless meat: 2,222 tons for USD 11,195,304
