Atria sells one of its poultry units in Sweden
In 2020 Atria launched an efficiency improvement programme in Sweden and in 2021 decided to centralize production from Malmo plant to Skollersta in Orebro.
As part of the programme, Atria has decided to sell the Malmo factory property for approximately €22 million. Atria will continue to run industrial operations on the premises and close production during 2023. The transaction takes effect on 26th of April 2022. The divestment of the factory will result in a non-recurring sales profit of approximately €10 million on the consolidated EBIT.
Financial results for 2021 for Atria Sweden were lower than expected, according to a report presented by the company.
