Avara Foods, a new poultry business is making an entrance on the UK market

Avara Food, the joint venture in poultry between Cargill and Faccenda, is ready to take over the UK market after the deal was approved by the UK’s Competition and Market Authority in December. The new company will be shared in equal proportions by the two companies the final purpose consisting in bringing together both of the models established by Cargill and Faccenda, explained Andy Dawkins, CEO Avara Foods.

''Now the opportunity is to take the best from both and provide our customers with great service and innovation from a trusted leader in fresh foods.We believe that it is our strong values and talented people that make the difference and will be key to the success of our business now and in the future. Our first step is to make sure that there is a smooth transition as we bring together the 2 businesses as Avara Foods, and establish a solid platform for growth", said Dawkins, quoted by Poultry World.

The number of employees is about 6,000 people, now working in a fully integrated supply chain focusing on delivering fresh food to UK customers.
