BEST GRILL, the hottest barbecue contest in Romania, sets the meat industry on fire
Chefs known nationally and internationally, such as Antonio Passarelli, Iosif Ştefănescu, Orlando Zaharia, Iulian Olaru and Paul Sisserman, will be part of the committee that will judge the meat products entered in the BEST GRILL competition, the most important barbecue competition in the south- East of Europe. The contest will take place within the CARNEXPO GRILL event, organized on June 4 and 5 at the exclusive Theodora Golf complex, near Alba Iulia.
“We are preparing intensely for this unique event, unique in Romania. In addition to the socializing and culinary demonstrations, we will present and taste the best local products for the barbecue area, but also international products to help develop our domestic sector. The BEST GRILL contest is the focal point of this event because here we will decide, with the help of the specialists, which are the best barbecue products that Romanian producers bring to the market in the new season, "said Eugen Capră, organizer of CARNEXPO GRILL.
The BEST GRILL contest will have on the jury some of the most skilled chefs in Romania, who work for well-known restaurants and steakhouses and know very well the appetite of the Romanians for the products prepared on the barbecue. At the same time, along with these specialists in the meat industry will be also beverage producers that will put on the table the most appreciated Romanian wines, assortments of craft beer and not only, but also spirited beverages.
The jury met on Thursday evening, at the restaurant Dabeef, in Bucharest, to establish the rules of the competition, the evaluation criteria of the products, as well as the prizes that will be offered to the winners. The meeting was a good opportunity for the chefs to make a culinary demonstration in front of the restaurant's customers.
CARNEXPO GRILL is organized by the magazine INDUSTRIA CARNII.RO and the specialized platform EUROMEATNEWS.COM. The event will be held under the motto MEAT YOUR PASSION. “We chose Theodora Golf Club near Alba Iulia precisely because it responds perfectly to the concept of event we want to stage: an exclusive 5-star setting, located in the middle of nature, with a delightful view, golf courses but also with a restaurant that brings out culinary preparations for the chosen tastes”, declared Eugen Capră, organizer of CARNEXPO Grill.
CARNEXPO GRILL is a unique opportunity to share ideas with over 200 key specialists in the industry on topics of highest interest. The program of the event includes: a festive evening with barbecue, tasting of chosen wines, but also recommendations of sommeliers, recreation time and socialization by participating in the golf game, areas of culinary shows where chefs renowned will prepare many surprises.
The event will be attended by representatives of the largest meat producers and processors in Romania and abroad, top buyers in the retail sector, importers and exporters in the field, delegates of the Embassies, as well as chefs representing the HoReCa sector.
