Belarus bans poultry imports from Bulgaria

As of February 20, Belarus will no longer import live poultry and poultry processed products. Still, the country will allow the import of feed for some pets (cats and dogs), provided that the products are heat treated.

The Department of Veterinary and Food Supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus announced that the decision was taken following the announcement made by World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) of a case of Newcastle disease reported in the Bulgarian region.
