Bosnia and Herzegovina to export 3,000 tonnes of beef to Turkey
Bosnia and Herzegovina will continue to supply beef in the Turkish market, as both parts are expecting the ratification of the Free Trade Agreement signed earlier this year.
3,000 tonnes of beef will be shipped to Turkey by the end of the year, according to Sarajevo Times. The deal was perfected between the Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Mirko Sarovic and the Turkish Minister of Agriculture, Bekir Pekdemirli, both parts considering that the trade should continue until the end of 2019 without any interruption.
On the other hand, Turkish cattle breeders are discontent with the continuous livestock and beef imports considering that those are influencing the domestic market. Turkey is also negotiating with Belarus to start beef imports from the ex-Soviet country.
