Brazil: Animal protein exporters project US$45.5 million after Sial China 2026

The participation of the Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA), in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), in Sial China 2026 concluded today with positive prospects for Brazilian animal protein exporters in the Asian market.

According to a consolidated survey of participating companies, the business contacts made during the fair are expected to generate US$45.5 million in business over the next 12 months. During the three days of the event alone, the deals actually closed totaled US$3.25 million.

Held between May 18 and 20 in Shanghai, Sial China is recognized as one of the most important international platforms for the food and beverage sector in Asia, bringing together importers, distributors, retailers, and food service operators from dozens of countries.

ABPA's initiative included a 72-square-meter booth, structured for business meetings, institutional promotion, and strengthening the image of Brazilian animal protein in the Asian market.

The companies Alibem, Aurora, Bello, Somave, and Vibra Foods participated in the initiative.

According to ABPA, this year's edition was marked by strengthened negotiations with Asian buyers and a growing search for suppliers capable of guaranteeing regular supply, logistical predictability, and high sanitary standards.

“China and the Asian market remain among the main growth hubs for Brazilian animal protein. Sial is a strategic platform to expand business, consolidate commercial relationships, and reinforce Brazil's position as a reliable and competitive supplier for global food security,” says ABPA president Ricardo Santin.

Following its participation in the trade fair, ABPA will continued its activities in the Chinese market with the Beijing Road Show, scheduled in Beijing. This initiative is part of the sector's strategy to strengthen the institutional and commercial standing of Brazilian animal protein with Chinese authorities, importers, and stakeholders.
