Brazil: Beef exports grew 36.5 percent in November
China remained the main destination for the month, with 178,800 tons and US$974.6 million, maintaining a share of more than half of the exported revenue. Next were the European Union, with 15,500 tons (US$131.2 million), and Russia, which registered 20,300 tons and US$86.6 million. Chile imported 14,800 tons (US$85.8 million), while the United States totaled 12,600 tons (US$84.3 million), even after fluctuations resulting from the tariff environment in the third quarter. The markets of Mexico, the Philippines, Indonesia, the United Arab Emirates, and Egypt also presented significant results.
In the period from January to November 2025, Brazil exported 3.15 million tons of beef, an increase of 18.3% compared to the same period in 2024 (2.66 million tons). Revenue reached US$ 16.18 billion, a 37.5% increase year-on-year. This partial performance already surpasses the total exported in the entire year of 2024 (2.89 million tons; US$ 12.8 billion), consolidating 2025 as one of the years of greatest expansion in the series.
China also leads in year-to-date figures, with 1.52 million tons and US$8.08 billion, representing 48.3% of the volume and 49.9% of the total revenue. The United States is in second place, with 244,500 tons and US$1.46 billion, followed by the European Union, Chile, Mexico, Russia, Egypt, Hong Kong, the Philippines, and Saudi Arabia. Several markets significantly increased their purchases compared to 2024, notably Indonesia (+579%), Palestine (+66%), Canada (+96%), the Philippines (+35%), Egypt (+56%), Mexico (+105%), China (+43%), Russia (+306%), Chile (+38%), and the European Union (+52%).
Exports to the United States remained positive throughout the year, even with monthly fluctuations. Between January and November, exports to the US market totaled 244,500 tons, a 109% increase over the same period in 2024 (117,000 tons). Revenue reached US$1.464 billion, a 53.3% increase. As a result, the accumulated total is approaching the total exported in all of last year (247,000 tons; US$1.47 billion), consolidating the market's importance, even in the face of temporary tariff adjustments.
According to the Brazilian Association of Meat Exporting Industries (Abiec), the November results demonstrate the sector's resilience in the face of exchange rate fluctuations, global supply variations, and regulatory changes observed in some markets throughout the year. The organization points out that the sustained growth stems from structural factors such as productivity, internationally recognized sanitary conditions, continuous service capacity, and diversification of destinations.
Abiec brings together 47 companies responsible for 98% of the beef exported by Brazil and works to defend, promote and expand access for Brazilian products to international markets.
