Brazil: Egg export revenue grew 26.6 percent in October
In volume, egg sales reached 587 tons, a volume 28.4% lower than that recorded in the same period of 2021, with 819 tons.
In the year (January to October), the accumulated increase in egg exports reaches 52.3%, with US$ 19.657 million, against US$ 12.903 million in 2021. The result is also positive in volume, with 8.649 thousand tons, number 6.1% higher than the accumulated in the first 10 months of 2021, with 8,148 thousand tons.
The main destination for egg exports, sales to the United Arab Emirates generated revenues of US$ 5.520 million between January and October, a result 9.3% greater than that registered in the same period of the previous year. Other highlights were Japan, with US$ 5.085 million (+164%) and Qatar, host country of the World Cup, with US$ 1.784 million (+253%).
"International sales of eggs and egg products from Brazil are taking on a new shape, with a significant rise in the importance of the Japanese market for the year's results, just as is happening with Qatar, which has increased its demand in light of the large volume of visitors. foreigners with the international sporting event", evaluates the president of ABPA, Ricardo Santin.
