Brazil: Egg exports grew 16.3 percent in February
In terms of revenue, the growth was even more significant. The sector's international sales totaled US$6.175 million, a figure 25.1% higher than that obtained in February 2025, when exports totaled US$4.936 million.
In the first two months of the year, Brazilian egg exports reached 6,025 tons, a figure 23.4% higher than that recorded in the same period of 2025, when 4,884 tons were shipped. In terms of revenue, the comparative growth reaches 37.9%, with US$ 12.583 million obtained in the first two months of 2026, compared to US$ 9.122 million in the same period last year.
Among the main destinations for Brazilian egg exports in February are Chile, with 767 tons (+156.8%), the United Arab Emirates, with 531 tons (-3.1%), Japan, with 524 tons (+143.5%), and Mexico, with 284 tons (+12.7%).
According to the president of ABPA, Ricardo Santin, the export performance reflects the strengthening of the international presence of the Brazilian egg production chain and the expansion of destination diversification.
“The results from the beginning of this year show consistent growth in exports, especially to markets in Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America. The diversification of destinations and the competitiveness of Brazilian products have expanded the reach of our production in international trade, gradually consolidating the export culture of the egg sector,” assesses Santin.
