Brazil: Egg exports grew 30.9 percent in volume in January

In terms of revenue, shipments generated US$6.408 million in the first month of the year, a performance 53.1% higher than that obtained in January of last year, with US$4.186 million.

Among the main destinations for the month, the United Arab Emirates stand out, having increased its imports by 34%, from 783 tons in January 2025 to 1,051 tons in January 2026. Japan showed significant growth, with a 267% increase in imported volume (from 205 to 752 tons), followed by Chile, with an increase of 184% (from 130 to 371 tons), and Mexico, with an increase of 65% (from 172 to 284 tons).

“The numbers show a clear recovery in destinations. We observed a slowdown in markets that had atypical behavior last year, such as the United States, while Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America recovered their share. The significant growth in Japan, the United Arab Emirates, Chile, and Mexico indicates greater diversification and reduced concentration, which brings more stability to the sector. This is a consistent movement of consolidation of the export culture, focusing on markets with higher added value and more predictable contracts,” analyzes the president of ABPA, Ricardo Santin.
