Brazil: Egg exports total 40,900 tons and hit a historic record in 2025
Revenue is also at a record high. The year's total reached US$97,240 million, a 147.5% increase compared to the US$39,282 million obtained in 2024.
In December, 2,257 tons of eggs were exported, a 9.9% increase compared to shipments in the same period of 2024, which totaled 2,054 tons. In terms of revenue, the increase is 18.4%, reaching US$5,110 million in December 2025, compared to US$4,317 million in the same month of 2024.
Among the main destinations for 2025, the United States ended the year with the highest accumulated volume, totaling 19,597 tons (+826.7% compared to the total for 2024), followed by Japan, with 5,375 tons (+229.1%), Chile, with 4,124 tons (-40%), Mexico, with 3,195 tons (+495.6%) and the United Arab Emirates, with 3,097 tones (+31.5%).
"The year was marked by strong growth in exports to the United States, a trend that slowed down after the imposition of tariffs. Conversely, the sector reorganized and new destinations gained momentum, such as Japan, a high value-added market that began to lead Brazilian shipments in the last months of the year. With the consolidation of the export culture, the expectation is that the flow of exports will remain at positive levels. This movement, combined with the climatic context at the beginning of the year, with high temperatures, and the proximity of the peak demand period of Lent, should contribute to balancing the supply to the domestic market,” analyzes the president of ABPA, Ricardo Santin.
