Brazil: Pork exports are projected to close 2025 with 11.6 percent growth

The annual result was positively influenced by the strong performance recorded in December, with shipments of 137,800 tons of pork, a volume 25.8% higher than that recorded in December 2024, when shipments totaled 109,500 tons.

In terms of revenue, Brazilian pork exports totaled US$3,619 billion in 2025, a 19.3% increase compared to the US$3,033 billion obtained in 2024. In December alone, revenue totaled US$324.5 million, a 25.6% increase compared to the same period of the previous year, which was US$258.4 million.

The Philippines, the main destination for Brazilian pork in 2025, imported 392,900 tons, a 54.5% increase compared to 2024. Next were China, with 159,200 tons (-33.9%), Chile, with 118,600 tons (+4.9%), Japan, with 114,400 tons (+22.4%), and Hong Kong, with 110,900 tons (+3.7%).

"There has been a significant shift in the landscape of export destinations. The Philippines has consolidated its position as the largest importer of Brazilian pork, and other markets, such as Japan and Chile, have taken center stage among the top five importers. This demonstrates the effectiveness of the process of diversifying the destinations of Brazilian pork, which reduces risks, expands opportunities, and reinforces Brazil's presence in the international market, supporting positive expectations for this year", emphasizes the president of ABPA, Ricardo Santin.
