Brazilian chicken meat exports grew by 6% in 2022
The result of exports for the year reached US$ 5.620 billion, a figure 33.3% higher than the one registered in the same period last year, with US$ 4.216 billion.
In July, international sales of chicken meat totaled 405.3 thousand tons, a decrease in volume by 4.5%, lower than the total exported in the seventh month of 2021, with 424.4 thousand tons. In revenue, there was an increase of 20.7%, with US$ 892 million this year, against US$ 739.2 million in 2021.
The United Arab Emirates once again took the lead in chicken meat exports from Brazil, with 37,800 tonnes exported in July, 11% more than in the same period in 2021. China, in second place, imported 37 .5 thousand tons (-40.5%). In third place, Saudi Arabia imported 37.2 thousand tons (+52.7%).
Other highlights of the month were the Philippines, with 21.8 thousand tons (+16.1%), South Korea, with 18.8 thousand tons (+79.4%) and Singapore, with 15.4 thousand tons (+93%).
“The result confirms ABPA’s expectations of maintaining exports at levels above 400,000 tons per month until the end of the year, showing strong global demand for the Brazilian products.” highlighted the president of ABPA, Ricardo Santin.
