Chicken meat production increased by 22.3% in July

Turkey's chicken meat production reported an increase of 8.3% in July this year compared to the previous month and of 22.3% compared to the same month of 2016, according to the data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat).

Chicken meat production increased by 22.3% in July

 

Chicken meat production reached 195,941 tons, while the number of slaughtered chicken was 115 million

Furthermore, the number of slaughtered chicken saw a rise of 9.3% in July compared to the previous month and it increased by 20.1% compared with the similar period of the previous year.

According to the seasonally and calendar adjusted series; chicken meat production increased by 0.6% compared with the previous month. According to the calendar adjusted series chicken meat production increased by 11.7% compared with the same month of the previous year.
