DanBred delivers significant growth and strengthens its global position

In 2025, revenue increased to over 175 M EUR, corresponding to a growth of approximately 20% compared to 2024 (147 M EUR). EBITDA reached more than 16.1 M EUR, up from 8.2 M EUR the previous year. Profit before tax totalled 13.6 M EUR, more than doubling from 6 M EUR in 2024.

New growth strategy

In 2025, DanBred launched the growth strategy Growing Stronger, Proving More, which focuses on increasing the company’s global presence and bringing DanBred genetics closer to the customers. As part of this development, DanBred has strengthened and expanded its organisation in the 18 countries where the company has its own employees.

Strengthened global presence

The strong financial results were achieved in a global market characterised by intense competition, where DanBred managed to maintain its momentum and further strengthen its market position.

Chairman of the Board, Truels Damsgaard, states: “The 2025 financial results reflect skilled strategic execution and strong organisational impact. DanBred has delivered solid growth while continuing to improve operational efficiency. The Board is very satisfied with this year’s results, which support our long-term ambitions.”

In 2025, DanBred significantly strengthened its global position. The international organisation was expanded, and new strategic partnerships were established in several markets. At the same time, continued genetic progress increased customer value and directly contributed to stronger commercial results.

Focus on genetic progress

This year’s strong financial performance is partly driven by DanBred’s ongoing genetic improvements, which deliver significantly increased productivity in Danish pig production. Genetic progress over the past two years has contributed to an additional 5 EUR per DanBred finisher pig, clearly increasing value creation for producers. DanBred’s targeted breeding work continues to translate genetic advances into concrete economic gains in production.

CEO Torben Aarris concludes: “2025 has been a strong year for the entire organisation. We have delivered growth in all regions while also launching several long-term initiatives to secure our continued global position. The results clearly demonstrate the added value of our product and, not least, the dedicated efforts of our employees.”
