Danish Crown: Mou opens a pop-up café in Copenhagen
This year, the Christmas shoppers on Strøget in Copenhagen can turn up the Christmas cheer even more and visit Café Mou and get a delicious, hot soup for only 10 kroner. Mou is opening a pop-up café right next to the Town Hall Square up to and including 23 December. Here, guests can buy either Mou's root vegetable soup, tomato soup or curry soup, which they can enjoy in the café or take away.
"Café Mou has got a really good location at the start of Strøget, right by Rådhuspladsen. We have chosen to include one of this year's soup novelties in the range and two classics, where all three work well as two go-soups. We have built the café in a Mou universe that invites coziness and warmth in the cold December. We also have some café tables if you want to stay in the café and enjoy your soup", says Kirsten Gehlert, marketing manager for Mou at Danish Crown.
It is the first time that Mou has opened a pop-up café, and it has been planned for 9-10 months. The goal is to create good awareness of the Mou soups, the different flavors and the high quality of the soups.
In a way, it's similar to handing out tastings in a retail store, just on a larger scale. But by having a café and in such a central position, Mou gets close to a great many people who may have never tasted a Mou soup, but now get the opportunity to get to know the Mou universe better.
"We charge an almost symbolic price for the soups in the café, and the income means that we can do this activity cheaply, so we keep a low contact price per person. consumer. At the same time, Copenhagen is one of the areas in Denmark where we sell the least amount of soup per inhabitant. That is why we are extra excited to invite so many inside the world of Mou in December", says Kirsten Gehlert.
