Egg shipments grow 57.5 percent in February
In terms of revenue, Brazilian egg shipments totaled US$4.936 million, a balance 63.2% higher than that recorded in the same period last year, with US$3.024 million.
In the first two months, 4,884 tons were exported, 38.2% more than in the same period last year, with 3,535 tons. In the same period, there was a 41.8% increase in export revenue, with a total of US$ 9.122 million in 2025, compared to US$ 6.433 million in 2024.
The United Arab Emirates, the main export destination, imported 548 tonnes in February, down 2.6% compared to the same period last year. Next came the United States, with 503 tonnes (+93.4%), Chile, with 299 tonnes (-8.9%), Mexico, which recently reopened, with 252 tonnes, Japan, with 215 tonnes (+111.3%) and Angola, which resumed imports, with 203 tonnes.
"Egg shipments continue to increase, especially due to demand from markets such as the United States, Japan and Mexico. Even though they represent less than 1% of the total produced by Brazil, the increase in the volume exported indicates international confidence in the Brazilian production sector, whether due to the quality of the products or the health status of our poultry farming", says ABPA president Ricardo Santin.
