FAAP and ABIEC launch executive course on agribusiness and the beef market

The Armando Alvares Penteado Foundation (FAAP), in partnership with the Brazilian Association of Meat Exporting Industries (ABIEC) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), is now accepting applications for the “Agribusiness and Beef Market – Beef School,” a pioneering initiative created to enhance the qualifications of professionals linked to the Brazilian beef supply chain and to further bridge the gap between academia and the reality of the production and export sector.

The course will feature an inaugural masterclass in June 2026 and the official start of classes in August 2026, in a hybrid format, combining digital classes, live meetings, and complementary in-person activities. In total, there will be 60 hours of content, divided between 45 hours of recorded classes, 15 hours of live masterclasses, and in-person experiences focused on connecting theory, the market, and practice.

The creation of the Beef School occurs at a time of strong prominence for Brazilian livestock farming on the global stage. Brazil is currently the largest exporter and also the largest producer of beef in the world, expanding its presence in increasingly demanding international markets and consolidating its role in global food security.

The course aims to offer a broad, technical, and up-to-date overview of the beef supply chain, covering everything from livestock production to topics related to sustainability, ESG, traceability, food safety, innovation, logistics, competitiveness, and international trade promotion.

The program will be divided into six modules: Overview of the Beef Supply Chain; Production and Processing; Logistics and Operations; Sustainability and ESG; Strategy and Trade Promotion; and Innovation and the Future. The training will also discuss global consumption trends, sanitary and regulatory requirements, market access, and the challenges related to the competitiveness of Brazilian beef in the international arena.

The Beef School will feature the participation of FAAP professors, agribusiness specialists, executives from the meatpacking industry, professionals linked to foreign trade, sustainability, logistics and international trade promotion, as well as representatives from ABIEC, ApexBrasil and guests with direct involvement in the beef market in Brazil and abroad. The program was structured to combine academic knowledge and practical experience, providing students with contact with professionals who closely follow the challenges, trends and transformations of the Brazilian beef supply chain.

More than just a course, the initiative aims to contribute to the training of professionals prepared to work in an increasingly technical, connected, and internationalized sector. The Beef School also emerges in response to a growing demand for qualified labor in various areas of the beef supply chain.

According to Roberto Perosa, president of ABIEC, investing in knowledge and training will be fundamental for the future of the sector. “We are living in a moment where the beef supply chain demands increasingly prepared professionals who understand everything from production to the workings of the international market. In a scenario of scarcity of qualified labor, investing in training, knowledge, and specialization is fundamental to further strengthen our sector and prepare new talents for the challenges and opportunities of Brazilian livestock farming,” he emphasizes.

This course is aimed at executives and managers in agribusiness, professionals in the meat processing and export industry, specialists in foreign trade and logistics, professionals in the areas of sustainability, ESG and compliance, representatives of the public sector, consultants, analysts, decision-makers and professionals who wish to work in the international beef market.

ABIEC members will receive a 15% discount on registration. Special conditions may also be negotiated for corporate groups.
