"The National Association of Producers of "Salam de Sibiu" represents, first of all, a guarantee that the "Salam de Sibiu" will always be of the best quality. The story of the salami has lasted for more than a century and it is part of the gastronomic culture of Romania, being the result of the craftsmanship of the people who produce it, further leading the culinary tradition. Through the "Enjoy! It's from Europe" program, we are bringing the quality system Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) as close as possible to consumers. For the efficient use of PGI, it is not enough for the product to be of high quality. It must also meet the support requirements in terms of attached services and, above all, it must be marketed by companies that have a good reputation in the eyes of the consumers," says Carmen Gavrilescu, President of the Association of Salami Producers of Sibiu.
