GRILLFEST BBQ 2026: Europe’s largest BBQ festival returns to Romania
The event, recognized as the largest Grill & BBQ festival in Europe, will take place from May 1–3, 2026, at Casa Vlăsia in Snagov. Under the slogan "GRILLFEST, American Grill & BBQ Experience," this year’s edition promises a spectacular culinary journey into the world of BBQ, integrating for the first time the most famous cooking techniques from the United States of America, complemented by the established styles of Argentine, Brazil, and Uruguay. GRILLFEST BBQ 2026 will transform Casa Vlăsia in Snagov into a true festival of tastes, where over 200 international chefs and pitmasters will prepare approximately 100 tons of top-quality meat products, selected from Romania as well as from all around the world. "May 1st is the national holiday for everyone who loves grilling. Therefore, we decided that this year, the entry to GRILLFEST BBQ will be free, because we want to offer all Romanians the chance to live a premium, international-class gastronomic experience without barriers. We are transforming Casa Vlăsia in Snagov into the largest BBQ garden in Europe and we are opening the gates wide for everyone who wants to feel the authentic taste of freedom and quality," stated Eugen Capră, CEO of GRILLFEST BBQ.
Education, networking, and entertainment
In addition to the gastronomic component, the festival maintains a strong educational side. The public will be able to interact with specialists from the meat industry and famous chefs, learning about the selection of quality meat cuts for the grill and healthy cooking methods. The atmosphere will be completed by an exceptional line-up on the main stage. Renowned artists will perform live concerts over the three days. For families, a generous Kids Area has been designed, featuring educational and sports activities, as well as culinary workshops for the little ones.
