Group of Butchers acquires German-based Hartmann
The company expects this acquisition to strengthen its position as an artisan meat producer and also to expand its product portfolio.
Currently, Group of Butchers is present in the markets from Belgium and Netherlands.
“Together with the management and highly motivated workforce of Hartmann GmbH we will now identify and leverage common customer and market opportunities, in order to maintain both our growth strategy in all price segments and sales regions as well as our customers’ high level of satisfaction,” said Remko Rosman, CEO of Group of Butchers.
Ever since Group of Butchers was acquired by the private equity investor, Equistone Partners Europe, in 2017, the company's strategy has been based on a business growth plan.
Hartmann will continue to operate from its 4,000 square meter- production facility in Warendorf-Milte, Germany, once the acquisition is concluded.
The German company was founded in 1984 and it produces meatballs, patties, and chops to premium and lower-class market segments in Germany.
