Hy-Line opens world's largest layer hatchery
According to the company, the hatchery called Huayu International Poultry Incubation Center is said to be the largest in the world. Furthermore, it is expected to produce nearly 60 million commercial layer chicks per year.
The Huayu International Poultry Incubation Centre is a joint venture between the global genetics company Hy-Line International and the Chinese firm Huayu Agricultural Technology, according to farmer's weekly.
“I congratulate the Huayu team, headed by its president, Mr. Lianzeng Wang, for their vision of the changing demands and even leading the change in the China layer market,” said Jonathan Cade, President of Hy-Line International.
The hatchery equipment, design, construction and biosecurity are world-class, the company said in a statement.
The facility includes an international training and conference center, which hosted the 2018 International Layer Industry Innovation Summit.
