The initiative has made it possible to link the values of the pig sector, linking them with the importance of maintaining balanced, healthy eating habits compatible with sports practice, with those that define the Olympic movement, such as effort, self-improvement, teamwork and an active life.

In this context, Serrano ham is the ideal product to combine these values, as it is a traditional food with a nutritional profile suitable for a varied and balanced diet. It provides high-biological-value protein, B vitamins, and minerals such as iron and zinc, all important nutrients during periods of moderate or intense physical activity.

INTERPORC's CEO, Alberto Herranz, emphasizes that "actions like the one carried out in Sierra Nevada allow us to directly identify the connection between pork products and a balanced diet suitable for physical activity." He also underscored that "the white-coated pig sector shares principles with the Olympic movement such as effort, perseverance, and a commitment to excellence—values that are also integral to our way of working."
