INTERPORC strengthens Vietnam's knowledge and trust in Spanish pork

This event, held from March 18 to 20, has become a key showcase for the promotion of agricultural products in Southeast Asia, bringing together more than 180 exhibitors from 24 countries.

As part of the European campaign "EU Pork, the Smart Choice", developed in collaboration with the Portuguese interprofessional Filporc, INTERPORC has placed special emphasis on the core values that define the Spanish pork sector, such as its sustainability, traceability, biosecurity, and high standards of animal welfare and food safety.

The Interprofessional organized several activities to introduce Spanish pork to attendees. Chef Bryan D, of the Spanish restaurant Capos Hanoi, led cooking demonstrations to showcase its versatility in Vietnamese cuisine. Additionally, a professional carver offered ham carving and tasting demonstrations.

At the same time, meetings have been held with local importers to explain the strict quality and biosecurity controls that guarantee the excellence of Spanish pork meat and processed products.

Daniel de Miguel, INTERPORC's International Director, stated, "We came to Vietnam with the firm intention of strengthening Vietnamese people's confidence in our products, and given the success of the show and the interest shown by visitors to our stand, we have undoubtedly achieved that".

Vietnam is a strategic market for Spanish pork due to its growing consumer interest in high-quality products. Last year, Spain exported 17,367 tons of pork to this country, valued at €23.26 million.
