Industrial Auctions BV: “We await a shift but nothing to be afraid of looking at the future”

Equipment

Industrial Auctions reaches the whole world with its online auctions. With a lot of knowledge of the machines that are being auctioned, an extensive network in the industry and weekly auctions of hundreds of machines, Industrial Auctions can be seen as the specialist in the organization of online auctions in the food and beverage industry. In the last years the company has organized auctions for many reputable companies such as: FrieslandCampina, Vion, Nestlé and Struik. The future of the meat industry, despite recent developments in consumer habits, is not going to be dramatically affected, believes Ad van Kollenburg, Director Industrial Auctions BV in an interview for EuroMeatNews.

Industrial Auctions BV: “We await a shift but nothing to be afraid of looking at the future”

EuroMeatNews: With what expectations does your company start the new year?

Ad van Kollenburg: “Of course our goal is to aim more growth. With this I refer to many aspects that concern us as a company. I’m not only thinking of more online auctions, worldwide, but for example also creating a growth in our brand awareness. Putting an effort in creating an even better top-of-mind awareness with our (potential) customers and clients is simultaneously leading to a bigger trust, better approachability and thus a healthy way of doing business together. We are looking forward to work on new and exciting projects with appealing companies and to sell machinery and inventory to our current and new buyers.”

EMN: Which trends are of particular importance for the meat industry?

AvK: “In the forgoing years, we have already seen individuals wanting to live healthier and reduce buying their meat products. Besides, more people turn to a vegan like lifestyle. At first being vegan looked like a trendy lifestyle people would try to fit in, but now we see an upcoming health and ethically driven society that not wants to fit in but wants to adjust and truly consider for themselves what they believe in and what they stand for. Therefore, it would be a logical result that the production of meat will slightly decrease, and other food markets will slightly increase. Since our company industry is fully focused on the food and beverage industry we await a shift but nothing to be afraid of looking at the future.”

EMN: What are the highlights for your company in 2018?

AvK: “2017 was an amazing year for Industrial Auctions as a mediator. In May we moved into our new and improved office

in Eindhoven. With a hall, full of machines, of over 5000 sqm and near the airport and next to a highway for maximum exposure we can certainly say this was one of the biggest highlights of the past year. Several festive events took place and we celebrated our successes together. We’ve managed to continue our online auctions throughout the year and of course we are looking with the same, whether or not, even higher expectations to 2018. No moving planned but there are for sure more interesting food and beverage auctions to come. Besides the online auctions we are also going to attend the Anuga FoodTec in Cologne, Germany. It is the only trade fair in the world that covers all aspects of food production.

An excellent opportunity for Industrial Auctions to present itself as the ‘professionals in online auctions for the food and beverage industry’, visit Industrial Auctions 20-23 March in hall 6, stand #C118. We look forward to help food and beverage companies selling their equipment and / or help with the automation of their production process. Let’s make 2018 a good one together!”
