Malaysian company ready to invest in Uzbekistan's aquaculture

One of the largest fish-breeding company in Malaysia, A Farm Agrotech Sdn Bhd, intends to create a cluster in the Uzbek Khorezm region, informs AzerNews agency. An intensive fish farming cluster will specialize in integrated production. It is planned to create incubation workshops, the production of fish and fry, the release of fish food with high protein content, as well as the processing and storage of fish products.
Fish industry accounts for 5% share in Malaysia's GDP reaching $ 23.5 billion of which 12% ($2.8 billion) comes from the aquaculture sector.
A Farm Agrotech's weekly production of fish is over 10 tons and a large part of that is exported to China and other Southeast Asian countries. The company has modern energy-efficient technology, providing the production of more than 10 species of fish with an innovative approach consisting in the introduction of special feeds made from fruits and vegetables with the addition of essential minerals for effective and rapid development and growth of fish.
A Farm Agrotech intends to hold negotiations with the companies of the fish industry of Uzbekistan to discuss further plans for the implementation of this investment project on January 24.
