The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, through the National Service for Health, Safety and Food Quality (SENASICA), reported that the first batch of cattle on foot crossed the quarantine station in San Jerónimo, Chihuahua, following the agreements reached between the Government of Mexico and the Government of the United States of America.
This first batch is made up of about 500 heads of cattle from three production units in Chihuahua. They were previously treated with an antiparasitic medication and then inspected by personnel from Senasica and the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), who authorized their departure to the United States of America.
